Thanks Pattie for this insightful interview.

In pondering her comments on dealing with your own feelings, anger, fear, a sense of:"this isn't fair" I thought YES, she is so right. Wrestling with these feelings make it possible to walk on the bright side of the road.

Not easy to do and for those continuing to fight the good fight each day, I think it means that they allow themselves to accept their feelings, especially the dark thoughts, each day and then let them go.

I didn't know what to say to folks dealing with a life threatening disease and pain and fear. I agree with Anne Marie Bennett when she addresses the best questions she encountered.

Being able to see the cancer patient as a vital human being striving to live their lifes to the fullest each day is very important. The "NEW NORMAl" is their reality.

Nothing like being taught so much by my youngest child, something I never expected.
